Wow. Who would have guessed their feathers to be so translucent? :) Nicely captured.

Now THIS is something special, never seen a clear pic of a bird in mid flight, maybe that's just from limited experience but still. Epic shot!!! XD

their wings flutter so quickly, it's not easy to take a shot like this. lucky ;) i think it's great to see the smooth translucency of the flight feathers in contrast to the almost hairlike texture of the feathers on it's back

Yeah, I'm not quite sure how I managed it, lol. I didn't even know I took it untill I was looking through the pictures I took that day. Normally my camera is never fast enough to get a shot like that, but because of all the show there was that day, it must have given me enough light to do it. (:

I don't know about where you are, but here they are quite friendly. Next time you see them you should try hand feeding them. (:

I live in the center of Texas =) Are your birds in the same area?

No, these photos were taken in Ontario, Canada. But chickadees seem to be very daring and friendly. Hopefully the chickadees where you are are as well. They like sunflower seeds so try putting some in your hand one day and see what happends. (:

This is a really amazing shot! It really shows you how small their actual wings are, it's all just feathers. haha
